Done Finals

Well we're finally done finals and working nights at the university. It was exhausting and I'm so glad it's over. Hopefully I passed math and won't have to take it again. Now that finals are done I have to finish a bunch of wedding stuff. It's always seemed so far away and now it's finally here...but I should go and finish getting ready for my stagette...

I passed the WOMBAT!!! Only an Acceptable...rather disappointing. I guess I can hope for a better score on grade 2. Did you find your access code Jane?

This wil be my last post for a bit since we are getting into finals and are going to start working nights on campus. That is really going to suck. We'll be so tired and stressed by the time May comes.... I had my bridal shower last Sunday-it was very nice and we received an incredibly generous amount of gifts. Thanks everyone!

The Art of Procrastination

Well, the end of the school year is near and now it's time to pay for procrastination. What have I left to the last minute? The reading that should have been done before each class, the review questions, and my music portfolio for my online class. Now it would have been easier to simply do the portfolio as I went along, but no. It isn't due until the end of term so why would I save myself a headache and do it ahead of time? Same with the reading, but it's the same every single year! The next few weeks will involve: scrambling about trying to read and review before exams and try to finish all the stuff left for the wedding! That's another thing: I've had years to finish all these projects but have left them all to now.

I guess I'll never learn. Hermione would never have this problem!

The Locket

James just called me to tell me something he heard listening to Harry Potter and I thought I would expand on it. I'm sure a million other fans (including Jane!) have come up with this theory but here it goes:

In HPB Harry learns about Horcruxes (for all you muggles out there a Horcrux "is the word used for an object in which a person has concealed part of their soul " HBP 464. When you divide your soul, if you die there is still part of you around so you can still live some form of existence). It is believed that Voldemort divided his soul into 6 parts. Harry and Dumbledore go on a journey to recover a locket which Dumbledore believes to be a horcrux After endangering Dumbledores life, Harry recovers a fake locket, left by R.A.B.

Now here is where I get to the point. In the previous book, when they are cleaning Sirius' house there is a locket that nobody could open in a cabinet (OP 108) . Sirius' late brother, Regulas Black was a death eater and was killed for leaving Voldemort's service. Is Regulas R.A.B? If he is did he hid the locket in his house? If so, was it discarded, or simply thrown into an unused closet? The house is now Harry's....maybe he'll find the locket.

Digital Camera!!!

Well, we got a digital camera (now James can quit whining!!!). It was our first wedding present from my parents. For more info, see James' blog. The digital camera idea was popular among the parents-James' parents were thinking about getting us a camera as well!!! They'll just have to think of something else now......

We're going to Paris!!!

I am so excited (and James is too): we are going to Paris in May!! A little earlier than we had planned but we found a good flight and everything else is just falling into place. We will have very little time after the wedding since we leave on the 22nd! Ahhh....2 days after the wedding. Better pack early. This is the only news in my life lately and I can hardly sleep. The next few months are going to go soooo sssssllllllllloooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww.

Back from the lake

We're back from the lake-it was wonderful. I got totally addicted to Sims 2 and I'm not sure how I'll get my homework done now! It was sooooo cold at the cabin; one day the heaters couldn't keep up!! Now that I'm back I have a MOUNTAIN of laundry to do. I think I should update this blog more often but I don't think that will actually happen.

Everyone else has a blog, why not me? Now everyone (well not everyone-I don't know that many people) gets to read my Harry Potter thoughts, among other things. I'm in the middle of midterms so that's it for now. Bad time to start a blog but calculus is BORING.
